No impact from Hormuz on crude oil arriving in Trieste

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 31 - Regarding the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL), "compared to what's happening in Hormuz, the volumes arriving in Trieste have not been affected. We all see a price problem right now, but it's still within limits that don't disrupt demand; we haven't noticed it yet," said Alessandro Gorla, president of SIOT, the transalpine pipeline that transports crude oil from the port of Trieste to Austria and Bavaria, in response to journalists' questions about the situation following the Middle East conflicts. "The situation for TAL," Gorla explained, "is fairly normal in terms of volumes; we have no visible impact on our incoming cargoes and, thus, deliveries. We continue to see oil arriving from the region, albeit in smaller quantities. For example, Iraqi oil is transported to Turkey via pipeline, while Saudi oil is delivered to the Red Sea. We currently have two cargo ships at anchor, and some are arriving outside of Hormuz. It is clear, however," he emphasised, "that countries such as Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain are currently out of the market. This is the real issue." (ANSA).
