(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 25 - The leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), the conservative populist and three-time former prime minister Janez Janša, has denounced numerous irregularities in the March 22 vote. His party will pursue legal action to confirm the ballot count. Janša claims that the mail-in and early ballot counts were manipulated, despite a small number of voters casting their ballots. The early ballots were cast between Tuesday and Thursday before the polls opened last Sunday, and security stickers may have been applied and removed several times. The Freedom Movement (GS), the centre-left majority party of outgoing Prime Minister Robert Golob, which won by less than one percentage point, accused the SDS of engaging in right-wing populist behaviour, spreading conspiracy theories, and deliberately undermining the country's stability.
