Demonstrations in Greece tomorrow on the anniversary of the Tebi train accident

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 27 - Large demonstrations are planned across Greece tomorrow to commemorate the third anniversary of the Tebi train accident, which killed 57 people. Adedy, the union representing public sector workers, has called a strike to coincide with the commemoration. Ferries will remain docked in Greek ports while the Panhellenic Federation of Seafarers (PNO) joins the mobilisation. Railway workers have also announced a strike, and theatres will be closed all day. In Athens, the association of victims' families and student groups has scheduled a meeting for tomorrow at noon in Syntagma Square, in front of the parliament building. Large demonstrations are expected in all major Greek cities, including Thessaloniki, Patras, Larissa, and Heraklion. (ANSA).
