(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 11 - Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar believes that Prime Minister Viktor Orban's party, Fidesz, intends to release an intimate video, possibly a fake, of him having sex with his partner. The suspicion, as he explains in a lengthy post on X, stems from journalists receiving "a link showing a room filmed by a camera". "I imagine," he writes, "that they intend to release a recording, possibly falsified, made with secret service equipment, of me and my then-girlfriend having intimate intercourse." Magyar speculates that Fidesz may release the video tomorrow, on the second anniversary of Magyar's interview with Partizan, in which he denounced corruption in the Orban system and signalled the symbolic start of his political career. "For some time," he emphasised, "they have been blackmailing and threatening with video recordings and defamation, and it appears that on the anniversary, they will launch a previously unthinkable Russian-style campaign." "Yes," he defended himself, "I am 45 years old and have a sex life. With an adult companion. I have three minor children who are clearly uninterested in this vile, family-friendly power. Finally, he warned Fidesz: "Put everything out there, falsify it as you want; I will not succumb to blackmail." (ANSA).
