(ANSA) - BERLIN, 07 FEB - Thousands of Iranians are demonstrating in Berlin, in front of the Brandenburg Gate, to demand the freedom of their people. This is an initiative promoted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which also includes leader Maryam Rajavi, who spoke from the stage in Farsi. The Paris-based woman has long since launched a ten-point plan to establish a constituent assembly and pave the way for elections. "No to the mullahs! No to the Shah!" is the rally's motto. Speakers on the podium also include former European Council President Charles Michel and former Merkel-era minister Peter Altmeier. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo joined from the US. "The message of the Iranian people and their resistance has been and remains this: no appeasement. No war or foreign intervention. Regime change and the sovereignty of the people's republic, by the people and their organized resistance," said Maryam Rajavi. (ANSA).
