(ANSA) - UDINE, 04 FEB - A multidisciplinary project, Anima Aeterna, aims to create an ideal bridge between the 2025 European Capitals of Culture, Nova Gorica-Gorizia, and Pordenone, Italy's Capital of Culture 2027. The initiative was conceived and founded by music producer and composer Andrea Buttignon, with support from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and organizational backing from the EGTC GO (European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation). By integrating symphonic music, cinema, and interactive technology, Anima Aeterna seeks to spark curiosity and excitement, connecting the legacy of GO! 2025 with the vibrant social and cultural fabric of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia, creating a lasting cross-border cultural experience that extends beyond geographic and temporal borders toward Pordenone, Italy's Capital of Culture 2027. For the project, presented today in Gorizia, Buttignon has composed a classical piece for choir and orchestra. The work will be performed in private at the Auditorium of Friulian Culture in Gorizia, with local orchestras and choirs. The project also includes producing a documentary on the work's creation, a music video, theater concerts starting February 7 across Friuli Venezia Giulia, and a cinema release of the documentary, all designed to build anticipation and audience engagement. Buttignon collaborated with Maestro Rudy Fantin, who prepared the complete score edition and will conduct the Anima Aeterna Orchestra during recording and the first concert, and with Chiara Battistella, who revised the Latin text linguistically and provided an Italian translation, ensuring high-quality execution.
