German inflation slows to 1.8% in December

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 6 - Germany's inflation rate is expected to be 1.8% in December 2025, according to the Federal Statistics Office. This represents a slowdown from November (+2.3%). Consumer prices are unchanged from November 2025 (0.0%). The annual average in 2025 is expected to be +2.2%. Inflation excluding food and energy, known as core inflation, is expected to reach 2.4% in December 2025. The final inflation figures for December will be released on January 16. Currently, forecasts for 2026 show that inflation will remain above the 2% level. (ANSA).
