Heavy snowfall in Bosnia, road closures, and power outages

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 5 - Heavy snowfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina since last Saturday evening has caused major problems, paralysing traffic in several areas of the country. The situation is especially critical in mountainous and hilly areas, where heavy vehicles are prohibited from driving on five major roads. Currently, the Tuzla Canton is experiencing the most difficult situation due to the failure of 31 power lines, with over 35,000 customers without electricity. Thousands of homes in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, including Živinice, Lukavac, Srebrenik, Tešanj, Zavidovići, Kakanj, Visoko, Olovo, and Vareš, are experiencing power outages. (ANSA).
