'Peace is on the horizon': Tusk after meeting with Europeans

(ANSA) - ROME, 30 DIC - "Peace is on the horizon." Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said this during a government meeting following talks with European leaders on Ukraine. "There is no doubt that events have occurred that give reason to hope this war could end, and fairly quickly. But it is still only a hope, far from being 100 percent certain," he said, as quoted by Sky News. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also commented: "Today we held further consultations with our European and Canadian partners in the Berlin Format. We are moving the peace process forward. Transparency and honesty are now required from everyone, including Russia," he emphasized. (ANSA).
