"There is no doubt that events have occurred that give reason to hope this war could end, and fairly quickly. But it is still only a hope, far from being 100 percent certain," he said, as quoted by Sky News. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also commented: "Today we held further consultations with our European and Canadian partners in the Berlin Format. We are moving the peace process forward.
