Questore Trieste bestows "Praise" on Slovenian Police.

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, DEC 24 - The Questore of Trieste, Lilia Fredella, awarded a "Commendation" to Deputy Chief of the Criminal Police Sector of Koper Senior Inspector Specialist II Dejan Grandic, Chief of the General Crime Section Senior Inspector Specialist II Tanja Skerlj, both serving at the Criminal Police of Koper, and Slovenian Police Officer Damjan Apollonio, current head of the Organized Crime Sector at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia. The conferment took place in recent days but the news was made known only today, specifying that the Questore emphasized the "fruitful cooperation in the investigation of crimes of a cross-border nature between the Trieste Mobile Squad and the collateral Slovenian police body." This cooperation has made it possible, "in recent years, to achieve excellent results on the investigative level thanks to the interchange of information based on the well-established interpersonal relations matured over time between the personnel employed on both sides of the various activities carried out." The "perfect cooperation" between the Trieste Mobile Squad and the Slovenian Police made it possible, "thanks to the constant availability and professionalism of the three Slovenian Officers and all the staff, to implement an effective chain of law enforcement in the area of property crimes, drug trafficking as well as in the fight against organized crime and the fight against illegal immigration."
