(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DEC 23 - Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar plans to hold a general election on March 22. The official writs will be issued in early January, she said at a New Year's reception for journalists on Monday, according to Slovenian news agency STA. Pirc Musar announced in October that the election would take place on March 15, 22, or 29. According to the law, general elections are held between 135 and 75 days before the fourth anniversary of the first session of the sitting parliament. STA stated that once the official writs are issued, the vote must take place within 60 to 90 days. (ANSA).
