(ANSA) - VILNIUS, DEC 11 - The Latvian president, Edgars Rinkevics, met today in Riga with his Polish counterpart, Karol Nawrocki, with whom he discussed the implementation of bilateral relations with a focus on regional security and the defense sector. The bilateral focused, in particular, on the need to ensure greater security of the Atlantic Alliance's eastern border and greater resilience to hybrid attacks coming from Belarus. Rinkevics and Nawrocki said they were convinced that alongside even greater military cooperation, regional security needs greater coordination of regional energy and infrastructure projects, which are necessary to protect the Baltic area's independence, autonomy and security.
