Multilingual telemedicine platform supports healthcare professionals in time-sensitive cases

STEMI communication platform, a portal developed by the Slovak med-tech company STEMI global is now available to simplify communication and coordination of professional paramedics and doctors. In particular, the mobile app helps them reduce time delays in the most sensitive cases of STEMI (stroke and trauma).

A beneficiary of the CEI COVID-19 Extraordinary Call with the “COVID-19 Telemedicine triage tool to protect hospital staff” proposal, STEMI Global is a recognised company and a recipient of innovation awards whose communication technology services have been used in most Slovak hospitals and emergency medical services (EMS) in the past four years.

The platform is mainly designed for crews of the emergency medical service in the field, and for doctors in specialised medical facilities. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the platform emerges as an invaluable tool that can tangibly support healthcare systems.

The portal is currently available in 6 languages, English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Slovakian and Serbian, with German, Arabic and Portuguese in the works.
