SECNET Project:  3rd Steering Committee meeting in Venice

On 18 September, the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority (Venice) hosted the 3rd Steering Committee meeting of the project SECNET (Cross-border institutional cooperation for Port Security Enhancement) funded under the Interreg Cross-border Programme Italy-Slovenia.

The meeting gathered the representatives of all project partners: the Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea Ports of Trieste and Monfalcone (Lead Partner), the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, the CEI - Executive Secretariat, the University of Trieste and the University of Primorska.

The participants examined the state-of-the-art of the project’s pilot actions which are under implementation and discussed the next actions foreseen within the project.

The CEI Secretariat, coordinator of the Communication and Dissemination actions, reported on the activities carried out so far in this framework, including the development of a stakeholder involvement strategy to inform about the project’s implementation.

SECNET was launched in October 2017 and aims at enhancing the security of ports in the Northern Adriatic by introducing innovative ICT tools, providing technical expertise and joint cross-border know-how, tested through two main pilot actions regarding cyber-security and perimeter security.
