On 8-10 April 2015, the Danube:Future project is organising in Klagenfurt its first International Workshop on “Challenges and potentials for a sustainable development in the Danube Region: Contributing to HORIZON 2020”, with funding provided by the Alpen-Adria-Universität-Klagenfurt and the Central European Initiative (Cooperation Fund 2014).
The Workshop aims at identifying challenges and potentials for research in order to create a knowledge base for sustainable development in the Danube Region. The final output will be a policy document highlighting the main research elements and ways for addressing them. Therefore, the organisers are looking for a limited number of participants from all countries of the Danube Region.
Preference will be given to applicants having participated in EU Framework Programmes and with specific expertise in the development of research projects. Selected applicants will actively contribute to drafting a White Paper addressing the research needs in the above-mentioned context, with special emphasis on humanities and social sciences.
To submit your application, please fill in the attached Application form and send it by e-mail to workshop@danubefuture.eu.
Deadline for applications is 15 January 2015.
Applicants will be notified of their admission by 25 February 2015.
The Workshop is free of charge. The organisers will cover accommodation costs (2 nights) and meals, and might provide travel support upon application.
