The CEI took part in the 4th WIDER Steering Committee Meeting which took place in Civitanova Marche (Italy) on 4 and 5 June 2014. Organised by the project lead partner, SVIM Marche from Italy, the meeting gathered all project partners as well as a number of Local Innovation Community (LIC) experts.
The meeting focused on the finalisation of the project strategies and plans related to communication, capitalisation and networking, as well as on planning related dissemination activities, in particular local and European road shows. Moreover, a draft of WIDER Manifesto was presented and thoroughly discussed among the partners, with further refinements to follow.
The SC meeting was followed by the 2nd WIDER Innovation Fair, organised by SVIM within a broader framework of several thematically related EU funded projects, i.e. Innovage (Interreg IVC), SEE-Innova (South East Europe), NEXT and NetAge (Adriatic IPA). This three-day event called "InnovActors: New challenges and opportunities for Europe" was attended by almost 200 participants representing regional, national and European stakeholders involved in innovation, who actively participated in a rich agenda of activities such as lectures and workshops focused on innovation development, related support tools, financial support schemes, exchanges of best practices, innovation voucher models, and - all throughout the event – ample networking opportunities.
The project WIDER "Green groWing SMEs: Innovation and Development in the energy sector in mEd aRea" is co-financed by the EU Programme MED (2007-2013) with an overall budget of around 2.5 Mio EUR. The project will last 30 months (until 30 June 2015) and its consortium includes ten partners from Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, France, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
