CEI Fund at the EBRD announces new grants for 12 KEP Projects

The Office for the CEI Fund at the EBRD has announced the results of its 2024 Call for Proposals under the CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP). The initiative provides financial support to projects that align with the goals of the CEI, focusing on fostering regional cooperation, capacity-building, and sustainable development across Central and Southeastern Europe.

Out of 57 applications, 12 standout projects have been selected to receive an overall financial backing of 431,202.12 EUR provided by Italy through the CEI Fund at the EBRD.

The winning projects - both bilateral and regional - span multiple sectors including institutional development and good governance, energy and environmental protection, media freedom, health and sustainable tourism. They bring together a wide network of partners and stakeholders such as national/local institutions, government agencies, foundations, and universities, each contributing specific expertise to the project.

By fostering collaboration among diverse actors, the initiatives strengthen cross-border partnerships, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and contribute to the regional development and EU integration efforts of the beneficiary countries, i.e. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine.
