The workshop “Advanced Strategies of Infection Control and Prevention” will be held in Chișinău, Moldova, aims to address critical issues in infection control and prevention, particularly in conflict zones.

It will bring together healthcare professionals, and infection control experts from across Romania, Ukraine, and Moldova. It aims to provide advanced training in infection prevention techniques and strategies tailored to the unique challenges faced in conflict zones and the broader healthcare context in these countries.

With a focus on practical skills and real-world applications, the workshop will include interactive sessions, expert lectures, and hands-on training to ensure healthcare providers are well-equipped to manage infections in complex and high-risk environments. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from internationally recognized specialists and contribute to the development of improved infection control protocols for war-torn areas.

This initiative is part of the broader Capacity Building in War-Related Eye Care in Ukraine Moldova and Romania project, designed to strengthen healthcare systems in the region, promote cross-border collaboration, and enhance the capacity of local professionals to provide high-quality care to individuals affected by war-related eye injuries.

The workshop is organised in collaboration with local healthcare institutions and international experts and is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the standards of care in war-torn areas.
