SOSPHERE Project kick-off meeting

Start date
Location
Trieste (Italy)

sosphere

On 5 February the newly approved project SOSPHERE will kick off its activity with the first official meeting held at the premises of the project led by the CEI-Executive Secretariat. Partners from Croatia, Italy and Slovenia will focus on identifying proper solutions to improve access to health and social care services in rural and lagging areas.

Over the next 2 years, the consortium will work with local and regional public authorities to solve the challenge of underused existing health and social services due to lack of skills, insufficient information or lack of trust in using digital tools. This is particularly relevant in peripheral and rural areas, characterised by poor connections, little interaction among available services, depopulation and growing population.

To change this, SOSPHERE will establish one-stop-shops for comprehensive service delivery and guidance through co-design approach. It will work with citizens, service providers, third-sector organisations and public authorities to define the right solution for identified issues.

Partners will also build a transnational network to share their experience with a wider public in other peripheral and lagging areas of Central Europe.
