Presentation of study on improving Italy-Croatia passenger rail connections and towards the Western Balkans: challenges and opportunities

Start date
Location
Trieste (CEI HQ)

As part of the collaboration between the CEI-Executive Secretariat and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, a study was prepared to estimate the potential demand for transport along the Trieste Centrale - Divaca - Rijeka route to assess the possible planning of a direct passenger rail link.

The study, carried out by the Ca Foscari University of Venice, will be illustrated during the event which will be an opportunity for a joint reflection on railway connectivity towards Croatia and, more generally, towards the Western Balkans.
