Serbia: major bank to be sold to Slovenia's NLB

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 27 - The Serbian government has signed an agreement with Slovenia's largest bank NLB for the sale of 83.23 per cent of Serbia's Komercijalna Banka, the government informed today. The shares owned by the Serbian state in Komercijalna Banka were sold for 387 million euro, but Belgrade expects to get a revenue of more than 450 million euro until the end of the transaction, due to the annual interest rate calculated from January, local media reported. "It was the right time" to sell, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, assuring that Serbia will benefit from the entire operation, local media reported. (ANSA).
