(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 11 - "On this day, my first thoughts are with the victims and their families. I think of the Srebrenica mothers, who have been seeking truth and justice for more than 30 years. Their determination shows that the wound is not healed. Memory is our responsibility. This includes rejecting any type of genocide denial that offends the victims and poisons the future." The Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarah Eti Castellani, read an excerpt from Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani's message during the 31st anniversary commemoration of the genocide at the Potočari Memorial Cemetery. Srebrenica was "the greatest failure of the international community," and "the most powerful response to this tragedy has only one name: Europe." Italy is at the forefront of assisting Bosnia and Herzegovina. "I say to young people: your future, based on peace, is in our common European home," Tajani wrote in the message delivered by Castellani, concluding "never again!" (ANSA).
