Germany confirms an inflation slowdown in June

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 10 - Inflation in Germany confirmed a slowdown in May. According to the German statistics institute Destatis, provisional results show a 2.3% year-over-year increase, up from 2.6% in May and 2.9% in April. It fell by 0.3% month on month. According to the press release, energy prices increased by 3.4% above the average rate following the war with Iran and continue to be a major driver of inflation. However, the increase is less noticeable than the previous month." (ANSA).
