(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 26 - Eastinvest "is a €20 billion programme designed specifically for the eastern border regions. It will be implemented over the next two years and will benefit these regions by creating new jobs, economic opportunities, and prosperity," stated EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the High-Level Conference with the eastern border regions. Estinvest will seek to increase investments in "renewable energy, agriculture, forestry projects, and other areas," von der Leyen stated, thanking Commission Vice President Raffaele Fitto for the initiative presented a few days ago.
