Four defendants sentenced in Greece's wiretapping scandal

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 26 - The Athens Criminal Court sentenced four defendants, including two Israeli citizens, to eight years in prison for breaching telephone confidentiality. This is part of the trial for the so-called "Greek Watergate," a scandal in which dozens of people, including journalists and politicians, were wiretapped using Predator spyware. The scandal began in Greece in 2022, according to Greek media reports. (ANSA).
