(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 30 - According to Euronews BiH and Serbian news agency Beta, truckers' unions in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina decided in a late-evening meeting to continue blocking freight traffic at Western Balkans border crossings to the Schengen area. This is despite the European Commission's announcement of openness yesterday, as well as the subsequent decision by North Macedonia and Montenegro's trade unions to lift their positions. As of midday today, the blockade, which is now partial, has entered its fifth consecutive day. The Logistika consortium from Bosnia and Herzegovina has requested an urgent meeting with the prime ministers of the two Bosnian entities (the Croat-Muslim Federation and Republika Srpska), as well as Borjana Krišto, president of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Ministers. According to Beta, Serbian transport companies have not yet provided any information about their plans. (ANSA).
