(ANSA) - UDINE, 14 NOV - Promoting a better understanding of social security records accumulated between Italy and Serbia and strengthening cooperation between the respective social security institutions: this is the goal of the International Social Security and Pension Information Days to be held in Trieste on December 10 and 11. The initiative, aimed at Serbian workers and Patronato institutions, is the first organized by INPS with a non-EU country under a bilateral agreement and is therefore of particular significance. The INPS office of Friuli Venezia Giulia made the announcement today. On December 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., officials from Serbian institutions and INPS experts in international agreements will offer personalized consultations at the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Directorate, located at Via Cesare Battisti 10/d. The activities are intended for Serbian workers who have accrued insurance periods in Italy and will provide information on benefit requirements, the main provisions of the bilateral agreement, and dual contributions. Interpreters will also be available to facilitate communication. Those interested can book an appointment by writing to giornateinternazionali.infoprevidenziale@inps.it and providing their last name, first name, date of birth, any foreign insurance number, reason for the consultation, and mobile phone number. Confirmation will be sent from the same address. The worker consultation day will be preceded, on December 10, by a training session reserved for local Patronato institutions, aimed at supporting the management of foreign insurance records and speeding up the processing of pension applications. The initiative is part of the nationwide Social Security Days, created to build a stable network of cooperation between Inps and its partner institutions. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, the two-day program is organized by INPS in collaboration with the Serbian institutions Zavod za socijalno osiguranje (ZSO) and Pensijsko i Invalidsko Osiguranje (PIO).
