Poland, Prime Minister Tusk announces government reshuffle

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 23 - "Order, security, and concern for the future" were the guiding principles behind Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government reshuffle. The prime minister announced the move today, noting that it was also made in response to the "political earthquake" caused by the election of Karol Nawrocki, the right-wing opposition candidate for Poland's new president. "It's time to recover and face new challenges," said Tusk together with Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who is now also the deputy prime minister. Waldemar Zurek will succeed Adam Bodnar, who is currently the Justice Minister. There will also be new ministers for health (Jolanta Sobieranska-Grenda), interior (Marcin Kerwinski), culture (Marta Cienkowska), sports (Jakub Rutnicki), agriculture (Stefan Krajewski), and state property (Wojciech Balczun). The total number of cabinet ministers will decrease from 28 to 21. (ANSA).
