EU ministers ratify a ban on combustion engines from 2035

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 28 MAR - European energy ministers ratified by a majority the regulation on the ban of gasoline and diesel-powered engines from 2035. Based on the final vote report in the Energy Council, Italy abstained. Along with Rome, Sofia and Bucharest abstained from the agreement. Only Poland voted against it. On the other hand, Germany was in favor, following the agreement on the future use of e-fuels reached over the weekend with the European Commission. (ANSA).
