In the framework of the International Journalism Festival (Perugia, Italy, 5-9 April 2017), the CEI and SEEMO jointly organised the panel “Press freedom in south-east Europe” on Wednesday, 5 April.
Contributions were delivered by the Croatian journalist Zrinka Vrabec Mojzes, editor of the weekly Nacional, and the investigative journalists Besar Likmeta, from Albania, and Anna Babinets, from Ukraine.
They briefed the audience about the state of the media in their countries, highlighting their professional and personal experiences, including difficulties and challenges they have to face in their everyday work.
The panel was moderated by Oliver Vujovic, SEEMO Secretary General.
Barbara Fabro, CEI Senior Executive Officer, presented the CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism along with the recently launched Call for Applications 2017 (Info available here).
