The RAIL4SEE Final Conference took place in Bologna on 15 October 2014. The meeting was attended by all project partners who presented their project results to several stakeholders gathering at the premises of the Emilia Romagna Region.
The conference - organised back to back with another EU – funded project RAILHUC, financed under CENTRAL EUROPE Programme - illustrated the main technical results, focusing on the Emilia Romagna integrated ticketing, the Thessaloniki city train and several information campaigns organised in various rail hubs involved in the project.
Around 130 participants, among which project partners and main stakeholders, debated on intermodal and rail transport in the Emilia Romagna Region in particular and Italy as well as on the role and strategies for railway mobility within the TEN-T policies.
This was the very last opportunity to make the most out of achievements and capitalise on experience gained. The project also created opportunities for future cooperation and project proposals.

The project Rail Hub Cities for South East Europe (Rail4SEE) is funded by the South East Europe (SEE) Programme. The challenge that the RAIL4SEE partners share is the development of models, concepts, measures, harmonised strategies and policy actions targeted to the improvement of rail and intermodal transport in South East Europe (SEE). In particular partners call for complementary interventions facing the alleviation of barriers for rail hubs integration in the local, regional, transnational and TEN-T systems, transport services projecting and harmonisation, governance improvement, especially in the transversal perspective of Public Transport Partnerships development.
