CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP): Call for Proposals 2012 Launched

The CEI Know-How Exchange Programme (KEP) aims at facilitating the know-how and best practices transfers between institutions in EU and non-EU Member States of the CEI. By co-financing capacity building and technical assistance projects, the KEP offers grants to institutions willing to share their experience with their partners in non-EU CEI Member States, thus helping non-members to advance on their path towards EU standards and policies.

The KEP focuses on the following areas of intervention: European Integration, Capacity Building and Market Economy; Infrastructure Planning and Development; Agriculture, Energy and Environment.   The overall indicative amount made available under this Call is 285,000 EUR: 260,000 EUR will be made available by the CEI Fund at the EBRD, entirely financed by the Italian Government, while 25,000 EUR will be made available by the Polish Government to co-finance one or more projects (up to a ceiling of 25,000 EUR) submitted by Polish applicants.   The KEP finances up to 50% of the total project cost and not more than 40,000 EUR per project. Project implementation should indicatively start after 1 November 2012 and should normally not exceed two years.   Since 2004, the Programme has benefited from contributions made available by the CEI Fund at the EBRD (entirely financed by the Italian Government), the Austrian Development Agency and the Polish Government. So far around 1.8 million EUR have been allocated for 66 projects with an overall value of about 5 million EUR.   Deadline for applications: 30 June 2012
