On 22 May 2025 H.E. Karla Wursterová, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Italy, paid an official visit to the CEI - Executive Secretariat. The Honorary Consul of Slovakia, Luca Davide Farina, was also present.
During the visit, Ambassador Wursterová held talks with Secretary General, Franco Dal Mas, and met with some staff members of the Secretariat. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between Slovakia and the CEI, with a particular focus on European integration, the Western Balkans, sustainable development, regional stability, and support to Ukraine.
Secretary General Dal Mas welcomed the visit and underlined the importance of active engagement by Member States in achieving shared goals. He also highlighted Slovakia’s key role in enhancing regional cooperation and promoting dialogue among Central, Eastern and South-Eastern European countries.
The Ambassador reiterated Slovakia’s strong commitment to supporting the mission of the CEI and expressed interest in exploring new opportunities for collaboration within the framework of the Organisation’s activities.
Reflecting the constructive atmosphere and the shared interest in deepening multilateral relations, the CEI Secretariat received an invitation to take part in an event to be held in Bratislava on 10 June 2025, organised by the Visegrad Fund on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. This will be a valuable occasion to further explore opportunities for regional cooperation.
The visit confirms the CEI’s role as a privileged platform for dialogue and cooperation in Europe.
