The CEI-funded conference is organised by the Italian Society of Science and Technology Studies in collaboration with the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Trieste. The conference reflects on the complex and ambivalent role of technoscience and innovation in constituting societies – making possibilities flourish, but also creating new vulnerabilities.

The academic program collects empirical and theoretical contributions addressing diverse aspects of the social study of science, technology and innovation from different disciplines and fields, such as anthropology, economics, design, history, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, semiotics and sociology.

Researchers and students from CEI Member States other than Italy can enjoy a waiver of the registration fee.

Scholars, students, and professionals in these subjects are welcome to attend 27 parallel sessions, 3 plenary sessions, and 2 roundtables, featuring more than 200 speakers from thirty different countries. Non-presenter registration is now open and those who are interested in joining the audience of the conference can register by June 15, 2021.

More info about the registration can be read here.
