On 9 September, Trieste will become a meeting point for the Balkans and Southeast Europe, as representatives of news agencies and international guests gather for the conference “The Balkans Meet in Trieste”, held on the occasion of the 34th General Assembly of the Association of the Balkan News Agencies – Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE).
The conference, organised by ANSA, will address key issues ranging from EU–Western Balkans relations and press freedom to the fight against disinformation, economic ties with the region and the role of the Adriatic Sea in fostering economic development.
Secretary General Franco Dal Mas will take part in the discussions, bringing the CEI perspective and its longstanding commitment to regional cooperation and the European integration of the Western Balkans.
