(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 15 OTT - The kick-off meeting for 'Rise4Ukraine,' a Horizon Europe-funded project, was held in Brussels. According to a press release from the Central European Initiative (CEI), the programme aims to support the "green reconstruction" of conflict-affected Ukrainian regions by combining ecological transition, economic recovery, and the development of local capacities. Supported by about €4 million in European funding, the 36-month project, which is led by White Research (Belgium), brings together 15 beneficiaries from eleven different countries. With an on-the-ground presence in Ukraine, the consortium brings together research, technical, humanitarian, and policy expertise from throughout Europe. In addition to spearheading initiatives pertaining to communication, dissemination, project results promotion, and international cooperation, the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI) is organising the mapping of regulatory frameworks for green reconstruction. The project, according to the CEI, is a component of a larger series of initiatives that the CEI is promoting to assist Ukraine. These initiatives are intended to support the country's recovery and reconstruction, strengthen institutional and local capacities, and ease its transition to European integration. (ANSA).
