
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 29 SET - The Financial Times reported that UniCredit intends to take control of Commerzbank and replace its supervisory board as early as January, citing sources familiar with the matter. Unicredit and Commerzbank declined to comment. According to the financial daily, the Italian bank plans to hold an extraordinary shareholders' meeting as soon as it receives the remaining authorisations required to take control of Germany's second-largest bank.
