(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 05 SET - According to Tanjug news agency, a military ceremony commemorating General Ratko Mladić has begun at the Palace of the Armed Forces in Belgrade. The event was part of the ceremony, officially revealed yesterday by Mladić's son, Darko. Serbia, at the family's request, dedicated it to the former Bosnian Serb commander who died on August 27 in detention in The Hague, where he was serving a life sentence for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Mladić's body arrived in Belgrade on Thursday afternoon and is currently undergoing an autopsy at the Military Medical Academy. It will be available for the funeral chapel in the Church of St. Luke and the subsequent ceremony at Belgrade's Topčider cemetery starting Monday morning. (ANSA).
