(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 16 - EU law is violated by Austria's sectoral, winter, and nighttime driving restrictions on heavy goods vehicles on the A12 Inn Valley and A13 Brenner motorways. This is the conclusion reached by Court of Justice Advocate General Manuel Campos Sánchez-Bordona, who suggests maintaining Italy's action due to its noncompliance with these obligations. Rome has not shown that the metering access system to the A12 involves a quantitative restriction, so the Advocate General believes it to be legitimate. Although the Court's decision frequently follows the Advocate General's conclusions, they are not legally binding. (ANSA).
