
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 22 - According to Politico, Lithuania's Defence Minister, Dovilė Šakalienė, has decided to resign after losing the trust of Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė and Social Democratic Party chairman Mindaugas Sinkevičius over the defence budget. On Tuesday, Šakalienė stated that she sees "no other opportunities to work when there is no trust," LRT reported. Ruginienė recently criticised fellow Social Democrat Šakalienė for secretly lobbying on the budget, prompting the decision. (ANSA).
