(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 27 - Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has strongly condemned Israel's military operations in Gaza and reiterated his call for Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic's government to begin parliamentary procedures to recognise Palestine. During a meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian in Zagreb today, Milanovic slammed the "brutal attacks conducted by the Israeli army against civilians in Gaza for months, and especially in recent days," according to regional media. He stated unequivocally that a military occupation of Gaza cannot be justified. The only solution to the Gaza crisis is a two-state solution, he noted. (ANSA).
