(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 20 GEN - Ambassador Giuseppina Zarra opened the conference "The Rule of Law and the Business Environment in Bulgaria" together with Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov, U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa, and AmCham President Olivier Marquette. The event, which was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham), Confindustria Bulgaria, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bulgaria (CCIFB) and the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delved into the links and correlations between protection of the rule of law and the fight against corruption and the business environment. In particular, the conference delved into the Bulgarian situation and the particular critical issues that the rule of law still faces in the country, as well as analyzing some aspects of the issues of administrative justice, confiscation, criminal justice, and state taxes and their impact on the business environment in Bulgaria and the kind of reforms the country would need.
