On the occasion of her mission to Chisinau for the CEI Parliamentary Committee Meeting, CEI Deputy Secretary General Ivana Holoubková visited the office of ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy in Moldova on 24 May, and met with Alexandru Coica, Head of Unit.
The information exchange especially focused on activities which provide assistance and support to Ukrainian communities and refugees inside Ukraine itself, as well as in the host countries; on the situation in Moldova as well as on support to local democracy in general.
The overall cooperation between the CEI and ALDA is implemented in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding which aims at joining forces to support the building of a strong local good governance expertise empowering the participation of the civil society.
The upcoming ALDA General Assembly in Brussels will provide a further occasion for meeting and debating issues of common interest.
