The 4th Steering Committee of the project “Improving Cooperation in South East Europe by Actions for Strengthening the RCC”, to be held on 17-18 July, 2012 at the CEI premises in Trieste, Italy, will focus on the progress achieved so far as well as on the forthcoming activities: design of a pilot ICT platform, production of a documentary under the title “How do I See My Neighbour”, foresights on IPA 2013 – 2020 programming guidelines, study visits to the Nordic Institutions.
Participants will also debate on the outcomes of the Scenarios Building Seminar held in Sarajevo on 25-26 June in cooperation with the DiploFoundation; the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats analysis of the RCC Secretariat’s activity as well as the role of RCC National Coordinators in relation to the sector’s short-term experts to be employed.
The agenda of the meeting, to be attended by CEI and RCC representatives, also envisages a study visit to pivotal economic institutions of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
The project “Improving Cooperation in South-East Europe by Actions for Strengthening the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC)” was designed by the CEI with the aim to make a concrete contribution to regional cohesion in South-East Europe (SEE) and to the EU enlargement process in the Western Balkans. The 24-month project is financed by the European Union through the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance – Regional Programme 2010 and will run from December 2011 to December 2013. The total budget of the project amounts to 890.000 EUR.
