Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana Stipulate Convention within ADRIA A Project

The signing ceremony of the convention between the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana for the planning of the missing railroad links on the Italian territory was hosted by the CEI on 16 September. In the framework of the ADRIA A project the parties involved will focus on the preparation of the metropolitan railway ring for the tracks Trieste-Capodistria and Gorizia-Nova Gorica.

The event recorded the participation of several local authorities, in particular of the regional councillor for infrastructures, mobility, territorial planning and public works Mr. Riccardo Riccardi , the provincial councillor Zollia, Trieste’s city councillor Omero and Gorizia’s city councillor Pettarin.

The representative of the Slovenian Ministry of Transport, Mr. Ljubo Žerak, also took part in the event and highlighted that the Ministry will soon launch the public call for tenders for the planning of the missing links on the Slovenian side.
