7th SUGAR Consortium Meeting in Palma de Mallorca

The final results of this EU funded project on freight management in urban areas (SUGAR) were analysed on the occasion of the 7th SUGAR Consortium Meeting held on 22-23 September in Palma de Mallorca.

Organised by the Municipality of Palma, representatives from Emilia Romagna, Paris, London and Rome presented - within a good-practice roundtable - their best practices and debated upon their experience in the field of sustainable urban freight management and logistics.

Participants also had the chance to visit the historical center of Palma de Mallorca and the waste sewerage treatment system that represents a recognised sustainable model for waste treatment around Europe.

At the end of the Project in December 2011, a Final Conference will be organised in Bologna.
