Trieste (Italy)

The CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators is a biennial event dealing with contemporary art promotion and the exchange of curatorial practices coinciding with the opening of the Biennale Arte. The CEI has been supporting the Forum since its first edition and, over the years, it has become a major CEI flagship activity in the field of culture.

The Trieste session on 25 October (Day one) will continue discussions started at the Venice session in May where experts and curators from Central and Eastern Europe gathered at the Academy of Fine Arts, to debate the major trends of today's contemporary art under the topic “EFFERVESCIBLE. SEEKING ONGOING RELEVANCY”.

Day two on 26 October at the headquarters of Trieste Contemporanea, will focus on the definition of BOTH WAYS, an international project that combines art and science that FIT (International Trieste Foundation), the CEI, Trieste Contemporanea, and several institutions of European contemporary art and science plan to co-produce for ESOF2020 (the European Science Open Forum, an important international science event, due to be held in Trieste next July).
