BiH resettlement framework and action plan for Corridor Vc (extension)

TC Project

Summary Description The project involved the construction of three sections of the 336 km long Corridor Vc motorway running north-south through Bosnia and Herzegovina with financing from the EBRD and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The preparation of a Resettlement Framework, which would define the necessary processes and procedures to be adopted for the whole route, was proposed. The Resettlement Framework is intended to apply to the full length of the Corridor Vc motorway within Bosnia and Herzegovina and also to finance any related community development sub-projects.   Main achievements

The project has completely fulfilled the objectives outlined above. Its results pave the way for further improvements on Corridor V, since it has enabled the client to implement the construction of the Corridor in accordance with EBRD's Social and Environmental Policy. The EBRD investment, together with parallel financing from EIB, is funding the construction of nearly 65 km of new motorway in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the signing ceremony CEI support was highlighted as a means for successful preparation of this project.
