Migrants: Italy, resumption of joint Italy-Slovenia patrols

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 4 - According to reports, joint police patrols on the Italian-Slovenian border will resume within a month to monitor the migrants' influx through the Balkan route. Today in Ljubljana, the two countries made this decision during a meeting between the Interior Minister Interior, Luciana Lamorgese, and her Slovenian counterpart, Aleš Hojs. The request came from the Italian Interior Minister, and Hojs agreed. Italy, moreover, expressed its willingness to use drones and night vision goggles in monitoring activities.
