Covid: Germany hits new record high,1,244 deaths in 24 hours

(ANSA) - BERLIN, 14 GEN - The number of deaths due to Covid in Germany has hit a new record high: according to Robert Koch Institut's data, the country recorded 1,244 deaths related to the virus in the last 24 hours (the peak so far had been 1,188, on January 8). Moreover, Germany recorded 25,164 new infections. The incidence rate of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants over seven days is 151.2, still very far from the threshold of 50. (ANSA).
